Gen Z Runs is an innovative, youth-led nonprofit organization that seeks to empower young people to take an active role in their communities by running for local and state offices across the United States. We are looking for talented, passionate individuals who are dedicated to our mission to join our team and make a difference. Theses positions are volunteer only, no monetary compensation will be provided. Current Openings:
Fundraising Director
Responsible for the management of the Fundraising Department.
Assure the abilities of all staffers in conjunction with their outlined responsibilities, and provide training as necessary within the department.
Oversee and assist in the execution of all projects and tasks within the jurisdiction of the department.
Manage volunteer recruitment efforts in partnered jurisdictions and for coordinated campaigns.
Coordinate IRS filings, fundraising events, donor tracking, ActBlue development, and digital fundraising strategy.
Social Media Coordinator
Oversee social media posting and activities on platform(s) selected. May include, but are not limited to: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tiktok.
Conduct research on effective social media strategies and report findings to department leadership.
Coordinate research on information relevant to posting ideas.
Develop a posting and interaction schedule for selected platform(s).
Graphic Designer
Develop graphics for social media accounts, in collaboration with department leadership and each respective Social Media Coordinator.
Research effective social media graphics and implement changes to graphics and internal style guide, in conjunction with department leadership.
Create miscellaneous graphics, including but not limited to Zoom backgrounds, ActBlue headers and backgrounds, and specific logo variations.
Partnership Coordinator
Research potential partnership organizations and businesses to work in conjunction with Gen Z Runs either generally or on a specified project.
Develop and implement a comprehensive partnerships strategy.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key partners.
Represent Gen Z Runs at meetings, events, and other functions requested by partner organizations.
Work to ensure alignment and coordination of partnership activities with organizational goals.
Manage all partnership-related communications, including emails, phone calls, and meetings.
Track and report on partnership-related activities and outcomes.
Organizing Coordinator
Develop and implement a comprehensive organizing plan for each endorsed candidate, in collaboration with each respective candidate, campaign director, and the candidate’s campaign team.
Manage and coordinate all campaign events and activities, including phonebanks, textbanks, door-to-door canvassing, and outreach to local organizations.
Work with the Communications Coordinator to develop messaging and materials for campaign events and activities.
Build and maintain relationships with local organizations and stakeholders to support campaign activities.
Political Coordinator
Develop and implement a comprehensive candidate recruitment strategy, in collaboration with the Executive Director and other staff members.
Recruit and identify potential Gen Z candidates for political office, primarily at the local and state level.
Work to identify potential candidates who are already running for office and may benefit from Gen Z Runs’ support.
Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the entire campaign process, from filing to election day.
Work to develop and maintain a database of potential candidates and their contact information.
Develop and maintain relationships with local and state political parties and other stakeholders to support candidate recruitment and placement on ballots.
